The French-led offensive in Mali continues apace. Reuters reports on logistics emerging over the last few hours, which has seen Paris dispatch hundreds of troops into the country. Other public sources have placed the number as high as 2,500 troops and have identified a full range of French military assets including tanks, platoons, and special forces. Malian neighbors are said to be increasingly willing to assist in defeating the Al Qaeda-linked Islamists which have seized northern Mali, and Algeria has given France unlimited use of its airspace in order to dispatch aircraft.
