The Turkish Hurriyet reports that Israel's Ministry of Defense will release its hold on the sale of Israeli-built sophisticated radars for the Turkish Air Force's airborne warning and command aircraft (AWACS) made by Boeing. The Elta-built subsystem for the $1.6 billion U.S. Peace Eagle program for the Turkish Air Force is a passive defensive system that does not enhance the attack capabilities of the Turkish Air Force.
