The Turkish newspaper Today's Zaman revealed on Monday that Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to Ankara, citing sources close to the Palestinian organization. The meeting came as part of an official visit to Turkey by a Hamas delegation. The Ankara government is pressing for reconciliation between the Fatah and Hamas factions.
