DOE: Depleted fields hold more carbon dioxide than estimated

A report from the Department of Energy found that depleted oil fields may hold billions of tons more of carbon dioxide than estimated. Such supplies can be used in enhanced-oil recovery, which accounts for 6 percent of domestic oil production, Bloomberg reports.
