U.S. lawmakers are calling on Egypt to take a more central role in helping to end the current Gaza conflict and an influential senator has already said that American aid dollars were at risk if Egypt didn’t reign in Hamas militants. “Egypt, watch what you do and how you do it,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in an interview Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” ”You’re teetering with the Congress on having your aid cut off if you keep inciting violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians.” Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, also said that Egypt is going to have to take some "very serious steps diplomatically," reports The Times of Israel.
