What the New York Times describes as "tribal fighting" has again erupted along the coastal Tana River Delta in Kenya, taking the lives of 40 people, many of them children. More than 100 people in the region have died during months of fighting between the Pokomo community and the Orma ethnic group. No arrests have been made over the recent round of fighting, which began with a dawn raid on an Orma village by Pokomo fighters.
